As it is stipulated in sec(6) of the Nigerian constitution
The judicial powers of the federation
Are no doubt vested in the court
Which is totally different from the tennis court
Where is the judiciary?
As the legislature and executive engage in political rivalry
The judiciary, last hope of the common man
Even with the establishment of ombudsman
Where is the judiciary?
Who are experts even in oratory
They are the voice for the voiceless
But the bulldogs are becoming toothless
Alas! Gone are those days when they protect the poor man’s right
When everyone was conscious of the wrong and right
When our constitution was fully safeguarded
And they were said to be tough-minded
What happens to the rule of law?
When some top politicians act above the law
Where is equality and impartiality
When there is no punishment for those politicians who engage in rascality
Indeed, justice delayed is justice denied
Our judicial system has finally declined!
As the constitution is often misinterpreted
Even when it was well documented.
