The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Governor Simon Lalong as the winner of the governorship election held in the state.
Lalong of the All Progressives Congress, polled a total of 595,582 votes to secure his reelection bid.
He defeated Jeremiah Useni, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, who secured 546,813 votes in the election.
The Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC) had election inconclusive based on the number of cancelled votes being higher than the margin between the two leading candidates in the election.
