A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun, Engr (Dr) Taofeeq Olayinka Ayinde Olokoobi has congratulated Muslim faithfuls across the state over the auspicious celebration of Eid-l-Kabir.
Dr Ayinde, in a statement signed by his media aide, Abbey Aboriyade, urged Osun people to always embrace peace in whatever situation they found themselves.
The Iwo-born politicians added that the only in unity and peace can a state or country experience development. He urged people to be peaceful and law abiding in their dealings as they celebrate the festival.
He said further, “No matter what we say, think or do, remember that nothing is worth loosing your lives for, we might be Muslims or Christians or even Traditionalist, we might as well be Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo but remember we all own and live in the same house called Nigeria, in this period of Eid Kabir , I want to enjoin us to continue to live together not as friends or neighbors but as brothers born by the same parents, this way the Labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain
“Peace be unto us as we celebrate.”
He called on people to continue supporting the administration of Mr Gboyega Oyetola in its bid to turn around the fortunes of the state.
