The Abuja division of the Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the Election Petition Tribunal sacking the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye.
It has also ordered the Independent Electoral Commission to conduct a fresh election within ninety days.
The judgment was on the petition filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress Smart Adeyemi in the 26th of February election.
The Kogi State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has in August nullified the decision of the INEC to declare Melaye winner of February 23rd poll.
Meanwhile, Senator Dino Melaye has also confirmed the development in a post on his verified twitter account.
