Fire on Thursday evening razed the Ondo State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Akure.
The inferno comes barely one month to the governorship election in the state.
The cause of the inferno was unknown as of the time of filing this report.
It was gathered that the fire destroyed some items in a section of the office.
When our correspondent visited the scene, security operatives cordoned off the premises. Men of federal and state fire services have put an end to the inferno.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the state, Dr Rufus Akeju, could not be reached as of the time of filing this report. Calls to his mobile phones went unanswered.
