A member of the House of Representatives from Osun State, Bamidele Salam on Tuesday lamented how the police authority has failed to act on the killing of one of his Constituents.
Salam, stated this on Tuesday in a post he put on his official twitter account.
He tweeted, “If as a member of the National Assembly I could not get the @PoliceNG to act on a matter involving the life of a citizen, what hope is there for those who had no title to get justice against brutality and harassment by the Police?
#ReformThePoliceNG NOW
It could be recalled that a boy identified as Idris was last month chased to death by men of Police attached to Joint Task Force in Osun.
Salam during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased said promised to ensure that Justice is served in the case. But till now, nothing has heard about the matter.
Also, a text message sent to the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Undie Adie by InsightMedia on the matter has not been responded to since for over a week now.
Police Public Relations of the Command, Yemisi Opalola told InsightMedia that the report of the investigative panel set up by the Commissioner shortly after the incident is ready and the Commissioner will soon make it public.
