Leaders of the Forum of Progressive Political Parties on Thursday renewed their loyalty to the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The Forum Leadership, who praised Governor Oyetola over his achievements in the last two years, paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Taiwo Akeju in his office.

Present at the meeting were the chairmen of African Democratic Congress, Idowu Omidiji; National Conscience Party, Ademola Bankole; United Party, Adebanji Adeyekun; and Young Progressives Party, Remi Ayanlade.

Others are Nigeria National People’s Party, Adefare Adegoke; Mass Movement for Nigeria, Raphael Faranmi, Boot Party, Bello Adebayo and People’s Redemption Party, Biodun Afolabi.

Chairman of the forum, Bello Adebayo explained that the group is enthused with with development witnessed by the party in the last two years. He stated that the group is happy to identify with the All Progressives Congress-led Government of Oyetola.

He said “We are here to congratulate Governor Oyetola on his second anniversary and to also pledge our loyalty to his administration. We appreciate what he’s doing and what he’s achieved in the last two years. We are solidly behind him.

“This is just leadership of the forum, we have twenty Political Parties in the group.” Adebayo said.

In his response, Akeju thanked the group for identifying with the administration of Oyetola, stating that the government will not disappoint the people of the state.

He emphasized that the projects done by the administration are priority needs of the people, adding that the achievements recorded so far are credited to the ingenuity of the governor.

‘As a government, we appreciate your visit and your congratulatory messages and on behalf of Governor Oyetola, I want to tell you that we won’t disappoint you and every other residents of Osun State.

“As you can see, the achievements in just two years of our administration are significant because they are people-oriented. People’s needs and demands are priorities of this government.”

The Commissioner also promised to support the twenty Political Parties under the aegis of Forum of Progressive Political Parties.
