Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the judiciary in Kwara State over the demise of former Grand Qadi, Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal Justice, Abdulkadir Imam-Fulani.

The Governor also condoled with the immediate family of the late jurist, urging them to take solace in the exemplary lifestyle of the deceased and God’s injunctions.

“I received the report of the death of the late jurist with great shock. His death, like those of all great minds, has created a gap in the community of scholars of Islamic law and jurisprudence. Hon. Justice Imam Fulani will be remembered for his erudition and significant contributions to the advancement of Islamic laws and jurisprudence in Kwara State and beyond,” the Governor said in a statement.

“On behalf of my family, the people and government of Kwara State, I send my heartfelt condolences to His Royal Highness Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the Chief Imam of Ilorin Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Salihu; the immediate family of the late Grand Qadi; and the entire Muslim ummah. I pray the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased al-jannah Firdaus and give succour to the family.”
