Philanthropist and politician, Engr Olufemi Akosile on Thursday admonished secondary school students to remain focused and determined and to shun cultism.
Akosile gave this advice when he visited Ikeji-Ile High School, Ikeji-Ile in Oriade local government area of the state as part of activities marking his birthday.
The politician, who arrived at the school premises early in the morning, said the motive behind his move was to spend some quality time with the younger generation as part of his ways to appreciate his Creator for his life so far.
Speaking with the students, the APC chieftain called on them to concentrate on their studies and to shun social vices, most especially cultism. He added that the government today in Osun State has created enabling environment for learning.
“I want implore you to remain focused and determined as success awaits only the committed fellows. Ensure you maximize the opportunity presented to you by your parents and the Government. Shun cultism and other social vices as they take someone to nowhere.”
Commending Governor Gboyega Oyetola on some education policies, Akosile said moral values and dignity has been restored to schools following the reversal to old and unique uniforms.
Akosile also spent time with the management of the school, assuring them of his support.
