The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Osun has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and beyond as they celebrate Eid el Fitri which marks the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan 2021.
The party admonished that Muslim brothers and sisters as well as believers of other religions of faith to allow the lessons and message of love, brotherliness, selflessness, self denial, sacrifice, charity, perseverance, piety, sobriety, prayers and generosity to the poor and needy observed during Ramadan be internalised and be part of our daily activities for life.
This goodwill message is contained in a statement issued from Party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy and signed by its Director, Barr Kunle Oyatomi and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Osogbo, the state capital.
According to Oyatomi, “for us to be spiritually fulfilled especially in a time like this which is the period of renewal of faith and expression of thanksgiving to Allah for the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, it behoves on all Muslim brothers and sisters to think of their neighbours with love and extend giving hands to them especially those that are poor and needy, which are the basic fundamental for peace, love and unity which Islam teaches”.
The party also charged Muslim Ummah and entire Nigerians to use the opportunity of this joyous festival to pray for peace to reign supreme in Nigeria by putting an end to banditry, kidnapping and incessant killing which has dominated some parts of the country.
The APC chieftain also enjoined the good people of Osun to rejig their efforts and be resolute in their support for Alh Gboyega Oyetola led administration which with lean allocation, has been trying all possible means to make life meaningful for the entire people of the state.
The party wishes Muslim faithful, a joyous celebration.
