It was a big jubilation in Anambra and also Nigeria, when former CBN boss, Professor Chukwuma Soludo won the primary election of the Governorship Candidate for All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra State which was held at the Professor Dora Akunyili Development Centre, Awka, Anambra.
He had 740 votes which represented more than 90 percent of all votes cast to defeat his opponents.
The ex CBN Boss gave gratitude to GOD by saying, “I want to thank the Alpha and Omega, who in his everlasting wisdom made it possible for me to come from Anambra.In appreciation to him, I will devote every moment of my life to serving him by working hard in my new position.

Despite controversies rocking the party after a group led by Jude Okeke accused the Victor Oye- led faction of alleged refusal to submit the statutory 21 days notice on the special ward Congress to the commission, the election was carried out succeessfully.
The publicity secretary of the Okeke- led faction said the Oye faction did not notify INEC on the plan to hold ward council ahead of the Governorship election.
The gubernatorial election is set to hold on November 6, 2021.
