Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuff has declared intentions to join the 2022 governorship elections in Osun State.
Yusuff, who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, made his intention known on Saturday in his hometown, Ilobu, during the 2021 Ilobu Day.
The Deputy Speaker, who was the Chairman of the event said this when asked to make contribution to the development of the town.
Yusuff said, ” I have said I won’t talk before but let me tell you all this. By 2022, I’ll be contesting for governorship elections in Osun State.”
He went ahead to donate N2m to the town.
Lasun will battle the APC ticket with Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who has been positioned to go for second term of office.
