As nationwide registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) gathers momentum, digital payments company Interswitch has enhanced its infrastructure to ensure smoother and more reliable purchase of examination ePINs.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the company said it had strengthened its platforms to provide secure and easily accessible payment channels for candidates registering for examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Purchasing an ePIN is one of the first and most crucial steps in the UTME and DE registration process. With registration timelines typically tight and transaction volumes high, dependable payment systems are essential to prevent delays and frustration for candidates.

According to Interswitch, JAMB 2026 ePINs can now be purchased through its Quickteller mobile app and web platform, as well as via the Interswitch Payment Gateway integrated directly into the official JAMB website. These channels are designed to offer fast, secure and seamless transactions across the country.

To complete payment, candidates are required to visit the JAMB e-Facility portal, confirm their profile code and select Interswitch as their preferred payment option.

Speaking on the development, Olawale Akanbi, Divisional Head of Growth Marketing (Merchants & Ecosystem) at Interswitch, said the company remains committed to supporting Nigerian students through reliable payment solutions.

“At Interswitch, we understand how critical the UTME registration process is for millions of Nigerian students and their families. By providing secure and widely accessible payment channels for JAMB ePIN purchases, we are helping candidates complete their registration with confidence and focus on preparing for their examinations,” he said.

Akanbi added that the company’s platforms are built to manage heavy transaction traffic, particularly during peak registration periods, without compromising on security standards.

The payment options offer flexibility and nationwide reach, enabling candidates and their sponsors to choose the most convenient channel based on their location and preference.

JAMB-accredited registration centres have also been encouraged to direct candidates to Interswitch-enabled platforms to ensure a smooth and error-free ePIN purchase process.

As registration deadlines approach, prospective candidates are advised to purchase their 2026 JAMB ePINs early through the Interswitch Payment Gateway, Quickteller, or accredited agents nationwide to avoid last-minute congestion and payment issues.
