As crisis in the Osun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party ranges, the State Executive Committee of the party, led by Hon Sunday Bisi on Thursday ratified and sworn in Hon Akindele Famuyide Olayiwola ‘Jagu’ as the Senatorial Leader/vice Chairman (East) and Hon. Ayobami Folorunso as the State Financial Secretary of the party.

State Publicity Secretary of the party, Areola Ayodeji revealed this in statement on Thursday.

He said the duo were recommended to the state executive committee of the party by the local government party Chairmen and leaders of the party in the zone and accordingly ratified by the SEC to replace Barr Wale Ojo and Alh Remi Arogundade who were earlier in the week removed from their respective offices by the State Executive Committee of the party due to gross misconduct and anti party activities.

Ojo is the factional Chairman of the party in the State and he’s enjoying the backing of five governorship candidates of the party and that of the southwest national vice chairman, Soji Adagunodo.

Ayodeji quoted Bisi as charging the the newly sworn in SWC members to see their appointments as recommended by party Chairmen and leaders in the Ife-Ijesa Senatorial District as required by constitution of the party in the instant circumstance as a challenge to his political credentials and therefore must do everything within his instincts to improve electoral fortunes of the party in the zone.
