In what appears to be a firm desire apparently inspired by resolved determination to seek Justice for Keren-Happuch Aondodoo Akpagher, a group known as Justice for Keren movement, which has been very vocal after it’s formation last year in demanding for Justice for Keren, has carried out a peaceful, radiant, rally in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
The Rivers State chapter of the movement held a peaceful solidarity rally on the 22nd of January 2022, across Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State. In a statement made available to the press; Comrade. Bobby Benjamin Ovuru, one of the organizers of the Rivers State rally vowed that they must get Justice for Keren.
“We must get Justice for Keren. I love humanity, that is the secret of my burning flames to see we get Justice for keren. It’s all about truth and Justice. We will keep speaking out from Rivers State. Keren must get Justice. We are battle ready to legally continue to demand for Justice for keren. Justice for keren is all we want.” He stated. Another top member of the movement from Rivers State, Comrade Zaki, equally vowed that they must get Justice for keren.
“This is Justice for keren movement live in Port Harcourt, holding a peaceful rally in honor of our dear daughter and sister keren. We have been out since morning holding this peaceful rally. We want Justice for Keren. Those who perpetrated this act will never go unpunished. Justice must be served to them” Comrade. Zaki, declared in Rivers State.
“Miss.Keren-Happuch Aondodoo Akpagher, a student of Premiere Academy Lugbe, Abuja died on 22nd of June 2021 after she was raped in Premiere Academy, Lugbe-Abuja. We understand that keren was raped and equally given an overdose of glucocorticoid which led to her death. We have clearly stated previously and have constantly maintained that anyone that played any role directly or indirectly in what caused the death of Keren Happuch Aondodoo Akpagher will be brought to justice. We shall bring them all to justice and firmly hold them adequately accountable.” Comrade Ikem Anthony Kalzeeni, Spokesperson, Justice for Keren movement, stated.
