Olu Ileogbo and Oyetola

The Asiwaju of Ileogbo, High Chief Raphael Akanmu Nafiu has made case for youth empowerment through gainful employment and other productive engagement if youth restveness should be curbed for social rest and security.

This call was made at the Olu of Ileogbo’s palace on Monday the 7th February, 2022 when His Royal Magesty, Oba Adetoyese Agbaje, the Olu of Ileogbo Kingdom played host on the governor of the state, Alhajji Adegboyega Oyetola.

The governor was in Ileogbo, the Headquarter of Ayedire local government to seek Royal support of the traditional rulers in the local government towards his second term aspiration.

In his speech, governor Oyetola expressed his gratitude to the people of Ileogbo and Ayedire Local Government for their support which his government had received and he reassured the Olu of Ileogbo of the commitment of his administration to rehabilitate the Ileogbo-Gbongan Road, the project he noted has been approved by the government.

He further explained that the recent teachers recruitment was towards reducing the mass unemployment among the youth as well as revamping the educational sectors with the injection of more fresh hands in teaching service of the state.

The Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Adetoyese Agbaje, while speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers across the council present, lauded the governor and gave him His Royal blessings.

Present at the occasion, among others, were the Onikoyi of Ikoyi, Oba AbdulHafiz Adigun who presented the royal gift, representatives of Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude who was unavoidably absent.
