As parts of its readiness to support the 5,000 youths in the State, Osun State government is set to partner with two commercial banks to organize a special entrepreneurship training for business-oriented youths.
The intensive training, which will commence by May 1 and run for a month, is targeted at youths, NYSC corps members, existing SMEs owners and job seekers across the State.
In a chat with InsightMedia, the Osun Focal Person for National Social Investment Programme, Kehinde Ibitoye said the Governor Ademola Adeleke will on launch the event in May. He said project is in partnership with two leading commercial banks in the country.
According to him, Governor Adeleke will also launch Osun Social Investment Policy Document on same date.
Ibitoye added that “the primary objective of the policy document is to provide a clear and comprehensive framework for the Social Investment Programme. This includes identifying the target population, the types of services that will be provided, and the eligibility criteria for participation.
“The policy document will also outline the funding sources for the programme, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the key stakeholders.”
Speaking further, the NSIP focal person added that the training will offer beneficiaries access to different business supports which include grants, loans, business proposals and promotional opportunities.
He said that registration form will be available online for Osun youths to participate.
