Gabriel Martinelli scored a late goal at Emirates Stadium to give Arsenal their first Premier League win against Manchester City in 17 attempts.
Fellow substitute, Kai Havertz provided the assist at 86th minute of an entertaining but tensed encounter between the two best teams last season.
The win is a very clear statement from the Mikel Arteta’s side who were without their highest goal scorer this season, Bukayo Saka.
City were without key players that helped them win treble last. Conspicuously missing today was Kelvin De Bruyne and fellow midfielder, Rodri.
