Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested Waliyu Adejare, popularly known as JJ an ally of the former Chairman of the Osun state park management, Nurudeen Wakil Alowonle.
InsightMedia gathered that Adejare was arrested in Osogbo on Thursday.
Sources said he was arrested in connection with the murder of Olalekan Oyeyemi popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade.
Emir was murder in Ile-Ife about two week ago following park management leadership tussle.
Police source said some residents of Oke Baale in Osogbo alerted the police that JayJay was sighted on the area.
Operatives of Anti-Cultism led by CSP Lukman Afolabi moved to the area and upon sighting officers, JJ allegedly attempted to flee the scene before he was captured and taken to custody.
When contacted, spokesperson of the Osun Police Command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi said he would revert back. But he has not done that as at the time of filing this report.
Who is Waliyu Adejare JayJay?
InsightMedia gathered that Adejare, a native of Oba Ile in Olorunda local government area, was a Naval deserter who allegedly ran away from Navy.
A right-hand man of Alowonle, Adejare has been arrested by police in the past, over alleged criminal activities but was released shortly after.
Sources said he still has a criminal case hanging on his neck.
