It was a joyful and memorable moment on Saturday morning as foremost Osogbo-born entrepreneur and philanthropist, Engr Kehinde Raji launched another set of empowerment with N10m at social gathering tagged Kejebu breakfast.

The event, which had in attendance over 2000 persons from different parts of Osun State, also saw many go home with different gifts such as cash, cloths, food items, among others.

In his speech, the Osogbo-born Civil Engineer, Aaraj stated that he has singlehandedly been empowering people for the past 11 years silently but the time has come for the world to see the beautiful part of giving back to the society.

Aaraji clarified that his actions have no political colouration as he has no affiliation with any political party.

He charged the Heads of market women (IYALOJAs) in Osogbo led by Alhaja Sakirat Ajibola, to put the round pegs in the round holes as the financial gains of Kejebu Microcredit Scheme will be used to support the Petty traders.

“We will extend this empowerment through the Aaraj Empowerment Foundation to other parts of Osun State in order to benefit more people.”

While speaking, the Chairman, Kejebu Breakfast Planning Committee Mr Olusola Sunday Authority, explained that Kejebu is a Yoruba word meant for “cut your clothes according to your size” and Kejebu is for mostly widows, single mothers and others who are contented with what God have given them but willing to receive more from the society.

Speaking on behalf of the two beneficiaries of N250,000 and about ten beneficiaries of N100,0000 business empowerment funds from AEF, Rukayat Rantimi also known as Lady-Ray expressed her gratitude and promised to judiciously make use of the capital.

In their separate testimonies, numerus beneficiaries who had earlier benefited from the medical/surgical, education, business empowerments among other financial benefits by Aaraj Empowerment Foundation across Osun State which include, Hazan Azeezat from Ede; Adenike Olusesi from Ilesa; Florence Adepoju from Ilobu; Rev Moses Oye from Agunbelewo Osogbo; Adewumi Gold Ajeyemi from Osogbo; Ademola Abbas from Osogbo; Adeoti Kareem from Ila Orangun and many more testified and prayed for the Engr Raji Kehinde Aaraj for his kind gesture.

In their separate comments, Secretary of the foundation, Mr Aderanti Akeem Ademola and Mrs Oladimeji Bukola member of AEF gave kudos to the kind gesture of Araaj for always reaching out to the less privilege, urging the beneficiaries not to abuse the benefits.

Kejebu breakfast also recorded other activities such as Christmas clothes gift for the aged people; free food for breakfast, registration with Osun Health Insurance Scheme, cultural and talent display as eminent personalities were in attendance.

InsightMedia recalled that Raji had in 2021 started a micro-credit programme for petty traders in Osogbo where he also started with a sum of N10m.
