As part of efforts to ensure smooth running and effective service delivery, the Kwara State Garment Factory has commenced an intensive training and orientation for its workforce.

This follows a similar training conducted for hired supervisors of the factory last month April.

The garment factory is a key legacy of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq which is expected to boost socio-economic growth and attract patronage to the state.

The training for the workforce is in batches. The session for the first batch took place last month; while the session for the second batch commenced on 6th May 2024 and is expected to last for four weeks.

The Kwara Garment Factory will begin full operation after the conclusion of the training sessions.

The Factory’s star machine is a cutting machine that has the capacity to cut 10,000 polo shirts in an 8 hour shift and is the first and only one of it’s kind in West Africa among other state of the art equipments.
