The National Association of Nigerian Traders has issued a statement to clarify the legitimate leadership of its Oyo State chapter following reports of certain individuals claiming key positions within the organization.
NANTS made this clarification in a press release on on Thursday following the parading of Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja and Alhaji Fatai Usman Abolanle who are unlawfully presenting themselves as the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Oyo State chapter, respectively.
The national body of NANTS has reaffirmed that Chief (Mrs) Odunayo Kayode Danjuma is the rightful Chairperson of the Oyo State chapter. Chief Danjuma, who also serves as the current National Women Leader of NANTS, has had her leadership fully validated by the national association.
NANTS is urging government bodies, business owners, and the general public to avoid engaging with the aforementioned impostors, Adedoja and Usman, to prevent any activities that could undermine the recognized leadership of Chief Danjuma.
Hon. Apesin Abiodun Adegoke, the Southwest Secretary of NANTS said they will take necessary actions against the imposters and their supporters,
“We will not hesitate to take legal action against any individuals or groups who support these unauthorized claims” he said
NANTS reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Oyo State government under the leadership of Governor Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde and vowed to continue advocating for the interests of traders in the state.
