Renowned Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, affectionately known as Mo Bimpe, recently shared insights into her journey with husband and celebrated actor Lateef Adedimeji.

Their romance, which blossomed despite her initial reluctance, is now one of Nollywood’s most admired relationships.

Mo Bimpe, the youngest of six children, hails from Ijero Ekiti in Ekiti State and spent her formative years in Akure, Ondo State. With a career that took off in 2016 as a model, she soon entered Nollywood, influenced by her father, a respected historian whose storytelling prowess left an indelible mark on her.

Initially, Mo Bimpe was hesitant about a relationship with Adedimeji, fearing the potential pitfalls of industry gossip. “At first, I was like, ‘no way,’ because I was obviously scared,” she admitted. “But Lateef is very open.

He told me everything, even the things that might annoy me, so there wouldn’t be surprises. He made the journey easy.”

Their relationship culminated in a celebrated wedding at the end of 2021, which remains a memorable event in the industry. Mo Bimpe reflects on her husband’s openness as a foundation of their bond, revealing, “There’s nothing I’d hear that would shock me because he already told me. He made it easy.”

Beyond her role as a supportive wife, Mo Bimpe is an established producer with over 20 films to her credit, including titles like Entrapped, Jade’s Cross, and Dear Sister. She co-produced Lisabi, a Netflix-featured biopic with her husband, showing her dedication to her craft.

On handling criticism as a producer, she shares, “As a producer, you have to learn from feedback. I pick up my pen and paper, noting down the sensible ones to improve next time.”

Adedimeji confirmed her hands-on role in casting for Lisabi, highlighting Mo Bimpe’s choices, such as Ibrahim Chatta and Debo Macaroni. “Choosing Uncle Ibrahim was a longtime desire,” Mo Bimpe revealed, while Mr. Macaroni, a close friend and Adedimeji’s best man, was chosen for his deep bond with Adedimeji, adding authenticity to the on-screen relationship.

Through her career and marriage, Mo Bimpe continues to capture hearts in Nollywood, balancing love, passion, and professionalism.
