The Osun State Governor, Sen Ademola Adeleke completed the dualisation of the Roundabout – Testing Ground – Ilesa Garage road.
The project, which was abandoned by the previous government, was completed within record time by the Adeleke administration.
The governor, who was joined by his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the commissioning ceremony on Wednesday, said the completion of the project was a testament to his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its campaign promises.
“We promised the people of Osun State that we would not abandon projects inherited from our predecessors, and today, we are fulfilling that promise,
” Based on the plan of action, out administration had completed several projects across the sectors, In under 100 days, we completed the Osogbo -Ikirun road dualisation with full solar lights,
“We expanded the inherited reconstruction of Iwo-Osogbo road to include dualisation of a major internal road inside Iwo.
“We completed several abandoned projects inside Osun State university including the one at Isale Osun which was neglected for almost eleven years, Governor Adeleke said.
The governor also used the occasion to reiterate his administration’s commitment to developing the state’s infrastructure, saying that several other abandoned projects would be completed in the coming weeks.
“We are committed to providing the people of Osun State with the best possible infrastructure, and we will not relent until we achieve that goal,” Governor Adeleke said.
“This is a new beginning for our state, and we are excited to see the impact that this project will have on the lives of our people,” Governor Adeleke added.
In his address, Governor Makinde called on Osun people to support Adeleke for another term, while sending messages to the opposition party to forget about capturing both Osun and Oyo States.
“This two years of impactful governance by commissioning projects everywhere shows you don’t need much time to make a difference. From our drive from Governor’s office here, I was counting new projects, and they are for real”.
“I congratulate my brother and the good people of Osun for choosing him. I congratulate him for delivering dividend of democracy to osun people. The reward of hard work is more work, so give him more work to do for another 4 years.”
