Toyin Abraham’s latest film, ‘Alakada! Bad & Boujee,’ has made an impressive N58 million at the box office during its first weekend.
The movie, which marks the fifth installment in the Alakada series, premiered in cinemas nationwide on December 20.
On Monday, Abraham took to X to express her gratitude to fans for their unwavering support during the film’s launch, noting that this accomplishment was achieved without any incentives to boost ticket sales.
“With an incredible display of love, kindness, and compassion from fans nationwide, we managed to achieve this remarkable opening weekend figure,” she stated.
“Thank you for watching and supporting us. Your commitment to our film without expecting gifts or promotions has truly touched us, and we are immensely grateful.”
Abraham also pointed out the film’s limited theatrical release and urged fans to help spread the word and continue their support.
“However, we’ve discovered that #AlakadaBadAndBoujee isn’t available in many cinemas.
