Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Bam Bam, has made an urgent appeal for help after discovering a woman trying to take her own life near her movie set.
In the early hours of January 28, 2025, actress Bam Bam took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking story, pleading for help after she intervened to save a distressed woman.
According to Bam Bam, the woman, a Malawian married to a Nigerian man, had climbed a water tank with a rope around her neck, intending to end her life. Her husband allegedly stood by without offering any help.
Bam Bam wrote, “I just met a woman whose husband told her to take her life, and I need your help finding a wellness center, rehabilitation center, or suicide watch facility. I’m not sure if we have anything like that.”
She further explained, “This woman is married and has children, yet her husband just watched her climb that tank, about to jump to her death, and said nothing.”
Calling for immediate action, the reality TV star asked for recommendations of places where the woman and her children could receive safety and support, away from the abusive husband.
“I’m on a movie set right now, and this woman climbed a tank. She said her husband told her to do it, and she has children. He’s using baby mamas and other things to frustrate her. She’s from Malawi, not even Nigerian, and she felt completely alone. She said she was going to kill herself. Please, we need somewhere to take her and her children, away from that man, tonight.”
Bam Bam’s post generated widespread concern and admiration for her quick action. Several hours later, she shared an update, revealing that the Lagos State Government had intervened and successfully taken the woman and her children to safety.
