Foremost Advanced Level college in Osun, Director of Kindawaz College of Advanced studied, has held orientation programe for new intakes for the 2025 IJMB and JUBEB Programme.
The Director of the institution, Dr Oladele Akindele urged students to be more focused and determined in their education and also curb negative influence.
Dr Akindele, who spoke on how this institution prioritize discipline, focus and commitment, said this during the event held at the of the academy on Friday in Osogbo.
According to the Director, students and youths should engage more in academic areas and shun negative influence.
“I will encourage students and youths to be focused and determined in their education. They should know where they are coming from and they should focus on all of their dealings.
“Most importantly to be very watchful of the edible things they consume”, he encouraged.
While speaking on the latest admission of the academy, Dr Akindele stated that 100 students have been admitted into the college of various courses.
“Well, we are admitting 100 students into the college of various courses, this is an annual programme we do every year and it has come again this year”, he explained.
Afolabi Oluwatomisin, one of the lecturers at the college advised students on their career choice and urged them to make good decisions.
“It is important to know your strength, your passion and to check your backyard while factoring your financial capacity, so you won’t end up becoming frustrated and being a dropout from school.
“Before you choose a career, you need to go through background checks on the course you want to study at the university and at the end of the day it’s going to be a profitable career to you”, he advised.
Some of the past students who came to the programme shared their experiences at the academy while urging the students to take their education as a priority.
The students were also lectured on how to build all levels of professional relationship and friendship, how to use AI to write and also learn.
