In a shocking revelation, Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has come forward with allegations of exploitation, verbal and emotional abuse, and forgery against her former manager, Eezeetee.

According to a statement released by her solicitors, Chinwo’s relationship with Eezeetee began in 2017 when she signed a management contract with him.

However, things took a turn for the worse in 2019 when Eezeetee allegedly introduced a new contract, forged to appear as if it was the original 2017 contract.

The statement alleged that Eezeetee “doctored reports” from digital platforms, failing to declare the correct revenue split to be paid out to Chinwo. He also allegedly falsely listed himself as the writer of all her songs, to receive revenues as both writer and producer.

Chinwo claimed that Eezeetee refused to remit her share of the publishing revenue for the past seven years, and also failed to remit his share of the digital streams earnings from 2022 to 2024.

The statement also revealed that Eezeetee had been charged with fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and a warrant of arrest had been issued for him to appear in court.

Chinwo’s solicitors denied claims that she had taken Eezeetee to court, stating that it was Eezeetee who had initiated the court action.

In a dramatic turn of events, Chinwo’s solicitors revealed that Eezeetee had apologized and reconciled with Chinwo during an EFCC investigation, but later reneged on their agreement and took the matter to court.
