Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has addressed the public’s concerns about her safety amid the ongoing fires in Los Angeles, assuring her followers that she and her family are unharmed.

In a statement shared with her fans, Omotola expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support and care she has received during the crisis.

“I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible concern and kindness shown to me over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles,” she said.

“First, I want to thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, well-wishes, and love. Your support means so much to me.”

The actress also cleared up the confusion surrounding her whereabouts, revealing that she has not left the United States because of the fires.

“To clarify: My family and I are safe,” she explained. “I’ve seen reports suggesting that I left the country due to the fires, but that’s not the case. I’ve been in Nigeria since December 2024 and am still here. While I love Los Angeles dearly, these fires were not the reason for my travel. I urge the media and individuals to correct this misinformation.”

Although far from Los Angeles, Omotola shared her deep connection to the city, which she considers a second home. “Los Angeles holds a special place in my heart,” she said. “It’s more than just a city to me—it’s a home, a community, and a place where dreams thrive.”

As the fires continue to cause devastation, Omotola expressed her thoughts and prayers for all those affected, from first responders to families who have lost their homes.

“My heart is with everyone impacted by the fires, especially the brave first responders and those who have suffered tremendous loss,” she said.

Concluding her message, Omotola called for unity and solidarity during this challenging time. “This crisis is a reminder of how connected we all are, no matter where we are in the world,” she said.

“Let’s come together in empathy, strength, and support. I encourage everyone to join me in praying for Los Angeles and supporting organizations making a difference. Thank you again for your love and understanding. Together, we are stronger. Together, we will rebuild.”
