Ghanaian-British music producer Juls has offered insight into Nigerian superstar Wizkid’s meticulous approach to music production, revealing why many of the singer’s tracks may never be released.
During an appearance on the Elsie Not Elisee podcast, Juls described Wizkid as a perfectionist who is highly selective about the quality of his work. This exacting standard, according to Juls, has left countless songs unreleased.
“I’ve had quite a lot of sessions with Wizkid. He’s always recording, but he has so many songs that are never coming out because he’s a perfectionist. He’s very particular,” Juls explained.
Despite working with Wizkid on multiple occasions, only one of their collaborations, “True Love,” has been released. The track, which features on Wizkid’s critically acclaimed Made in Lagos album, remains a career highlight for Juls.
Reflecting on the experience, Juls expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with the globally renowned artist, emphasizing the respect he has for Wizkid’s dedication to creating music of the highest quality.
