Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has called for the release of TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as ‘SeaKing,’ who was recently rearrested on allegations of cyberbullying him.

Adeboye addressed the matter during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service at Redemption City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, on Friday.

In a video from his sermon that gained widespread attention on Saturday, Adeboye clarified that he had no involvement in SeaKing’s arrest, explaining that the decision to detain him was made by others who were upset by the TikToker’s comments.

He stated, “I heard someone criticized me harshly. What did I do wrong? Because I asked my people to fast for 100 days? I didn’t ask him to fast, not even anyone outside the Redeemed Christian Church of God.”

“I was informed that some people became so angry and decided to arrest him. Please release him; he is fulfilling prophecy.”

Meanwhile, rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who visited SeaKing in police custody in Abuja on Friday, reported that he was informed the arrest was made following a petition from one Paul James Adama, who allegedly used the name of a Christian group linked to the Federal Police Relations Officer, Adejobi Olumuyiwa.

Sowore further mentioned that the petition was purportedly filed on behalf of Adeboye.
