The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the suspension of two Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres: the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum CBT Centre 2 in Yobe State and the CBT Centre in Otukpo, Benue State.

The suspension, effective today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, will last for 14 days.

JAMB, through its spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, issued a statement outlining that the suspension was due to significant breaches of security protocols that threatened the integrity of the registration process.

These breaches undermine the board’s efforts to prevent fraud and ensure that the information submitted is reliable, particularly in cases of dispute.

The board also urged candidates to manually complete their registration details before uploading them to the portal, with a reminder that the completed templates must be uploaded as proof of the information provided.

JAMB expressed concern that some centres, despite being fully informed of the guidelines, chose to disregard them by submitting blank registration templates in a misguided attempt to increase candidate submissions.

The statement served as a stern warning to other centres, emphasizing that any centre found submitting blank templates in the future will face cancellation and a ban from participating in JAMB activities.

The 2025 UTME registration began on Monday, February 3, 2025, and will end on March 8, 2025. JAMB strongly advised all CBT centres to ensure that registration templates are fully and accurately completed before uploading.
