Nigerian skit maker Zicsaloma has shared the reason behind his recent rhinoplasty, a procedure that alters the shape or structure of the nose.
In January 2025, he underwent the surgery in Turkey to reshape his nose, and has been documenting his recovery journey through videos.
Addressing the criticism he received from social media users about his decision, Zicsaloma explained in a YouTube video on Friday that the surgery was to fulfill a long-held childhood desire to change his nose.
He revealed that insecurities and the teasing he faced growing up due to his flat nose influenced his choice.
He explained: “Some people get rhinoplasty for breathing issues, while others, like me, do it for aesthetic reasons. Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to reshape my nose. I was constantly mocked for having a big, unattractive nose. So, just because someone doesn’t have the means or courage to address their insecurities, doesn’t give them the right to judge someone else.”
