
The National Headquarters of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has announced the appointment of Alhaji Kazeem Oyewale as the Caretaker Chairman of the NURTW Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Council.
Oyewale, who is the Gbobaniyi of Osogboland, was formerly the Osun State Chairman of the union.
According to information made available to the general public, his appointment was made by the union’s President, Alhaji Musiliu Oluomo, in Abuja on Monday.
Oluomo charged Oyewale to prioritize the welfare of his members and always defend their unity.
He noted that the NURTW is a respected union, devoid of hooliganism, and therefore, its reputation must be protected.
In his acceptance speech, Oyewale, popularly known as Asiri Eniba, thanked the leadership of the NURTW for the trust they have reposed in him.
He promised not to let them down, as he will bring to bear the experience he used in piloting the affairs of the union during his time as chairman in Osun State.
