Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has spoken out after Fatai Odunsi, a man claiming to be his father, accused him of neglect.
In a viral video, Odunsi alleged that he has been suffering from a stroke since 2022 and that Asake had ignored his calls despite his deteriorating health.
On Friday, Asake took to social media to address the controversy with an emotional yet cryptic message. Singing in Yoruba, Asake expressed, “You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world. But anything you do, do it for God.”
He continued, “My own father wants to cajole me, and I have sent so much money to him. I have struggled for so many years, but they want to make life unbearable for me.”
