Bianca Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has shared her excitement about an upcoming stage play, Bianca, set to be performed by the Duke of Shomolu Foundation on May 1, 2025, in Lagos.
The play explores the life of Bianca, who was married to the iconic Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and highlights her significant achievements in public service.
In a recent social media post, Bianca revealed that she had initial reservations about the project when Mofoluwake Edgar of the Duke of Shomolu Production first approached her.
However, she expressed hope that the portrayal of her life would be as true to reality as possible. Bianca also shared her desire for the narrative and dialogue to create a compelling and impactful experience for the audience.
Part of her post read, “Bianca chronicles my journey to this point my dreams, struggles, and triumphs but my life, as I know it, is still a work in progress.”
The opening night of the play is set to be a significant theatrical event, featuring a captivating musical performance by the talented Timi Dakolo. At its core, the production promises to deliver an inspiring story of love, passion, and unshakable determination.
The cast includes prominent actors such as Yemi Shodimu, Nelson Orah, and Kamila Jubril, who takes on the role of Bianca. Timi Dakolo will also make his theatrical debut through this production.
