Shade Okoya, wife of Nigerian billionaire Razak Okoya, opened up about finding complete fulfillment in marrying at 21, expressing no regrets despite the age gap with her husband.
In a recent BBC Yoruba interview, Shade shared how her marriage has been a rewarding experience. She feels no sense of loss for marrying young or choosing a partner much older than herself.
“My husband has always been generous and protective. It was God’s plan. He liked me, met my parents, and followed all the right steps,” she explained.
Now 48, Shade married Razak in 1999, when he was 85. Despite their age difference, she’s never felt deprived of life experiences, emphasizing that their relationship has brought her joy and satisfaction.
“I’m happy in my marriage. Age didn’t stop me from enjoying life. I’ve never regretted marrying him,” she concluded.
