Former Chelsea and England captain John Terry has hit out at ex-Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, criticizing his officiating during a heated UK Baller League match.

The incident occurred during a recent fixture in the six-a-side indoor football competition, where Terry now manages a team called the 26ers. The match, which ended in a 3–3 draw against FC RTW, saw tempers flare after a reckless challenge on one of Terry’s players.

A confrontation broke out on the pitch, prompting Clattenburg to issue a two-minute suspension. Terry, however, was left fuming, believing the punishment didn’t go far enough. He was caught on camera shouting at Clattenburg, saying: “There’s no f*****g point, I’ve got to do your job for you,” as reported by Goal.

Terry while speaking to Sky Sports after the match, he didn’t hold back in his assessment of the officiating.

“For me, the refs are awful. The refs are terrible – they need to take some responsibility because two of my players are trying to break up fights on the pitch after diabolical tackles,” he said. “I don’t want to be that person coming on, the players have got to do better, but the refs have got to take responsibility.”

Terry, widely considered one of the greatest centre-backs in football history, spent two decades at Chelsea, winning five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, and the UEFA Champions League.
