A concerned parent has raised alarm after her young daughter, a preschooler, reportedly soiled herself at school due to a warning during a school assembly that discouraged children from using the toilet.

The mother, who shared a video of her conversation with the headmistress on TikTok under the username #alagatosmart, explained that her daughter misunderstood the assembly’s message as a strict instruction not to use the toilet at all.

The incident occurred at an unnamed preschool and quickly gained public attention when the mother shared the video on Thursday.

In the video, she explained that her daughter, interpreting the assembly message literally, thought she was not allowed to use the toilet, which led to the embarrassing situation when she needed to relieve herself.

The headmistress’s response, recorded in the video, was initially dismissive, as she mentioned being busy with exams and urged the parent to quickly get to the point.

She then recalled a previous discussion with the parent about the shortage of cleaning staff, which she attributed to broader national issues. She also reminded the parent of a message she posted on the school platform urging parents to toilet train their children as much as possible.

The headmistress also expressed surprise that the child had soiled herself so early in the day, noting that it happened shortly after the child arrived at school.

This incident has sparked conversations about school policies and how they are communicated to young children.
