Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has spoken candidly about the emotional impact of seeing his newborn son resemble his late child, Ifeanyi, calling the similarity “scary.”

Ifeanyi tragically passed away in a drowning accident at Davido’s Banana Island home on November 1, 2022. In the months that followed, Davido quietly married his longtime partner, Chioma. Nearly a year later, in October 2023, the couple welcomed twins a boy and a girl and later celebrated their union with a grand wedding in June 2024.

In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Davido reflected on the eerie likeness between his newborn son and Ifeanyi. “The boy looks just like my son that passed. It’s scary. It’s like literally him. We’re like, ‘No, it’s him. He came back,’” he shared.

The singer also opened up about how the loss reshaped his perspective. “That type of loss makes you want to disappear. I just wanted to be with my wife, care for my family, and find peace. To come back from that and be blessed with twins it’s beyond words.”

Davido noted that the heartbreak transformed him, enabling him to support others through grief. He credited his album *Timeless* and his marriage as evidence of divine favor. “God is real,” he affirmed.

On the music front, Davido expressed excitement about his ongoing collaborations with American star Chris Brown, revealing they’ve recorded around 20 songs together.

When asked about a joint project, he said, “We could put out two albums right now. It’s going to happen. I’m happy for Chris he’s back in his bag and celebrating 20 years.”

Davido also shared plans to venture into film, serving as executive producer for an upcoming movie, a series, and a personal documentary in collaboration with director Dammy Twitch.
