Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared his thoughts on his journey to success following a significant achievement on Spotify.
The award-winning artist recently reached a new career high, amassing 11 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform which is a first for him, this is boosted by the released of his fifth studio album, 5ive.
In response to the milestone, Davido emphasized that his rise in the music industry was self-made, contrasting his journey with that of some of his peers who benefited from early support by influential figures or record labels.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, he expressed gratitude for the factors that shaped his success: “No co-sign, built from the ground up! Just God, good music and the best fans! Appreciate you guys fr [for real]!”
