The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 43 individuals in Toto, Nasarawa State, for alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The operation, carried out on Friday, May 30, followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to various forms of cybercrime. During the coordinated raid, EFCC operatives seized several items believed to be proceeds of, or tools used in, online fraud.

In a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, the EFCC listed the recovered items of 64 mobile phones, including high-end iPhones and Samsung devices, four laptops, one iPad and five motorcycles.

Images of the suspects and the recovered items accompanied the announcement.

The EFCC noted that investigations are still ongoing to establish the suspects’ roles within broader cybercrime networks. Once investigations are concluded, the suspects are expected to be charged in court.
