With just four matches remaining in the 2024/25 LaLiga campaign, the league management alongside EA Sports FC has unveiled the nominees for this season’s Team of the Season. Barcelona are strongly represented, with eight players earning nominations.
Hansi Flick’s preferred defensive line has received full recognition, as Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, and Alejandro Balde have all been included among the defensive nominees.
Other notable defenders in the mix include Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger, Atletico Madrid’s Jose Maria Gimenez, and Barcelona transfer targets Andrei Ratiu (Rayo Vallecano) and Oscar Mingueza (Celta Vigo).
Up front, Barcelona’s prolific attacking trio of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha who are widely considered as one of the most effective units in Europe this season are also in contention. They face competition from Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr., along with Osasuna’s Ante Budimir and Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.
In midfield, Pedri stands as the sole Barcelona representative. His inclusion comes as no surprise, given his outstanding performances and reputation as one of the top midfielders in world football.
