Real Madrid have officially completed the signing of England international Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, securing the defender on a six-year deal.

The agreement between the two clubs will see the 26-year-old right-back join the Spanish giants from June 1, 2025, and remain at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 30, 2031.

In a statement released on their official website, Real Madrid confirmed: “Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons.”

Alexander-Arnold joins Los Blancos following a stellar career at Liverpool, where he emerged from the club’s academy and established himself as one of the world’s top full-backs. During his time at Anfield, he lifted nine major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two EFL Cups, and the FA Community Shield.

Internationally, he debuted for England in 2018 and has represented the Three Lions at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups, as well as the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.

The defender’s individual accolades are equally impressive. He was named in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 in 2020, featured in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season twice (2018/19 and 2021/22), and was selected three times for the Premier League Team of the Season (2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22). He also received the Premier League Young Player of the Season award in 2019/20.

Alexander-Arnold is expected to make his debut for Real Madrid during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States starting June 14.
