The Osun State House of Assembly has officially embarked on a recess in honor of the upcoming Eid-Kabir celebration, following a resolution reached during an executive session held on Monday.

This was disclosed in an official statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Speaker.

The statement reads, “The decision marks a temporary pause in legislative activities as the assembly members take time to celebrate this significant festive occasion.

“The assembly members, headed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun expressed their commitment to addressing the concerns of their constituents and ensuring that governance remains responsive and effective.

“The Osun Assembly is scheduled to resume its sessions on Monday, 16th June, where members will reconvene to continue with pending legislation and oversight functions.

“The break provides an opportunity for members to engage with their communities, gather feedback, and better understand the needs of the people they represent during this festive period.

“The Speaker, however, stressed the importance of community engagement during the recess, encouraging constituents to reach out and share their thoughts and concerns”, the statement ended.
