Iranian Missile strikes kill 5, injure 92 in Israel

Iran’s latest wave of missile attacks on Israel has left five people dead and 92 others injured, according to Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s emergency medical service. The revised death toll increased from an earlier figure of four.

In a statement on Monday, MDA reported that the fatalities included “two women and two men around the age of 70, as well as one additional victim.” The attacks targeted four locations in central Israel.

MDA confirmed that 92 injured individuals had been taken to various hospitals. Among them was a 30-year-old woman in critical condition with facial wounds, six others were moderately injured, and 85 sustained minor injuries.

Rescue efforts were ongoing at two of the four impacted sites, the agency added.

The missile barrage followed Israel’s airstrikes on military targets within Iran, escalating already heightened tensions. Both nations have issued warnings of further retaliation.

Israel’s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, vowed on Monday that residents of Tehran would “pay the price” for targeting Israeli civilians.
