The Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on New Media, Fafoluyi Olayinka Michael (aka Solace), has been installed as the Akeweje of Aran-Orin Land in Irepodun local government area of the State.
The prestigious title was conferred upon him by the community’s monarch, Oba Joseph Oyeyipo Babalola, the Alaran of Aran-Orin on Monday, June 9 at the town’s primary school playing ground.
Oba Babalola expressed gratitude to Fafoluyi for his dedication to the town’s development, evident in the various projects he has spearheaded.
The monarch charged the newly installed Akeweje to continue his philanthropic endeavors, benefiting both the community and humanity at large.
The Olomu of Omu-Aran, Ọba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, also commended Fafoluyi, attributing his appointment by the Kwara State Governor to his exemplary attitude and steadfastness.
The monarch urged him to sustain his good deeds and work closely with younger people for the development of the community and Kwara at large.
Highlights of the event is the commissioning of the some projects undertaken by the Governor’s aide.
A borehole, providing portable water for the community, the unveiling of 32 poles of solar-powered streetlights and launching of the foundation for a multimillion-naira AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Corpers’ Lodge, Aran-Orin.
Present at the occasion are the Kwara State House of Assembly members, Executive Chairmen of local government areas, traditional rulers, cabinet members, politicians, nollywood stars and other well meaning Nigerians.
