It was a moment of healing and divine ministration at the New Covenant Church, Culcheth Lane, Newton Heath, Manchester, United Kingdom on Sunday, 14 of June as Sophia Newton joined other men of God for When We Worship programme.
The event, organised by Joy Saliu-Esan, was a spirit-filled gathering that ensure divine intervention from the God.
The event became more electrified as Sophia Newton took to stage to reel out a performance that focused on preparing hearts and minds for worship through artistry that reflected both faith and emotional honesty.
Sophia’s performance explored themes of anxiety, hidden struggles and spiritual release while also presenting reflective moments for audience.
“This piece is about making space for people to acknowledge what they carry and to find rest in worship,” Sophia Newton shared. “Movement and spoken word allow me to give language to emotions that are often left unspoken.”
