A Nigerian national identified as Chukuwuma has been apprehended by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru for allegedly engaging in drug trafficking.

According to a report by India Today on Tuesday, Chukuwuma was nabbed during a raid in the Avalahalli area of North Bengaluru while attempting to distribute illegal substances.

The CCB’s Narcotics Wing executed a coordinated operation that led to the seizure of MDMA and crystal drugs valued at over ₹1.2 crore.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Chukuwuma has been involved in drug dealing since 2013. Authorities believe he imported narcotics from outside India and circulated them primarily around Bengaluru’s outskirts.

He had reportedly been under surveillance for several weeks prior to his arrest.

Currently, Chukuwuma remains in custody and is undergoing interrogation as officials continue their efforts to dismantle the drug network and apprehend other accomplices.
