Aliyu Audu, who served as the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has officially resigned from his role.
In a letter dated June 8 and addressed to the President via the Chief of Staff, Audu announced that his resignation takes immediate effect.
“I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately. I thank the President for the opportunity to serve my fatherland under your visionary leadership,” the letter stated.
Audu expressed appreciation to former presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, whose recommendation paved the way for his appointment on August 26, 2023.
“It has been an honour to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration,” he noted.
He ended the letter with well wishes for President Tinubu, writing, “Please accept the assurances of my highest esteem and continued prayers for the success of your leadership and the progress of our beloved nation.”
As of the time of this publication, there has been no official response from the Presidency regarding the resignation.
